Cmap software is a result of research conducted at the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC). It empowers users to construct, navigate, share and criticize knowledge models represented as concept maps. Concept maps are graphical tools for organizing and representing knowledge in an organized fashion.
Different versions of the CmapTools program allow users to, among many other features, construct their Cmaps in their personal computer, iPad or on a Web Browser, share them on servers (CmapServers and on the Cmap Cloud) anywhere on the Internet, link their Cmaps to other Cmaps, link resources to their Cmaps, automatically create web pages of their concept maps on servers, and edit their maps synchronously (at the same time) with other users on the Internet. Cmap software is used by individuals, schools, and institutions all around the world.
